Opportunities From: FRCS Parent Partnership Program (P3)

Volunteer: Father/Grandfather Servers and Helpers for the Generational Tea

The Generational Tea is a time to honor our mothers, grandmothers, and daughters. We invite FRCS dads and grandfathers to step into a Christlike role of service, showing hospitality, humility, and love as we serve those who so often serve us.

As Jesus modeled in John 13 when He washed His disciples’ feet, we are called to humble ourselves and build others up. This opportunity is not just about helping at an event, it’s about living out our faith and setting an example for the next generation

1) Set-Up Crew (2:00–3:30 PM)
Prepare the space with care: tables, linens, place settings, and light décor. Create an environment of welcome that reflects Christ’s beauty and order.  Candice will be there with specifics.

2) Greeters & Parking Hosts (4:30–5:00 PM)
Extend a warm smile, open the door, and guide families as they arrive. Your kindness reflects the heart of Christ’s invitation to all.

3) Tea Service Team (5:00–6:45 PM)
Pour tea and serve trays with attentiveness and joy. Approach this task as an act of love and honor for the women who gather.

5) Photo & Keepsake Station (3:45–6:00 PM)
Help families capture memories and distribute Scripture keepsakes. Remind them that their bond across generations is part of God’s good design.

6) Back-of-House Helpers (4:45–6:30 PM)
Work alongside Amanda Jordon and reset trays. Even the unseen tasks matter—Jesus said, “The greatest among you will be your servant” (Matthew 23:11).

7) Tear-Down Crew (7:00–8:00PM)
Help reset the space with cheerful hearts. A servant spirit at the end of an event is just as vital as at the beginning.

Details & Encouragement

Attire: Business-casual, with closed-toe shoes for service areas.

Safety: Training will be provided for hot liquids and tray service.

P3 Hours: All service counts toward Parent Partnership volunteer hours.

Spirit of Service: Remember, this is more than a task—it’s a ministry. As Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
